A Mosaic

Around the table:

  • Have you ever had the opportunity to visit a church in another town or country where your only connection was your faith? What was that experience like?

Read the summary for the Sunday sermon:

The local church is a mix of people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences who have been brought together because of Jesus. This body life is like a mosaic with lots of pieces yet all making one thing. The body of Christ. Through this body we love one another and our world to the glory of God.

Read: Colossians 4:7-18

Discussion Questions:

  1. In what ways can we be a part of encouraging other believers beyond our own local church?

  2. In verse 12, Paul writes about labouring or struggling in prayer. How have you experienced this in your prayer life?

  3. Do you feel that God has given you a specific ministry? If yes, what is it?

  4. What thoughts and situations keep you from serving like you should?

  5. How can we encourage one another to fulfill the ministry God has given us?

  6. What stood out to you the most during the weeks we’ve spent in Colossians?

  7. How has that affected the way you live?

Prayer: Go around the circle and have each person offer a simple prayer of thanks for something they’ve learned or been encouraged with from our study in Colossians.
