Membership

What is membership?

Membership is an invitation to be committed to a local church. Everyone who has put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Saviour becomes a member of the global church. However, we also believe that a Christian needs to be committed to a particular group of believers that meet as a local church.

Church membership is a formal relationship between a church and a Christian characterized by the church’s affirmation and oversight of a Christian’s discipleship and the Christian’s submission to living out his or her discipleship in the care of the church.

What is the process for membership?

This class is offered every quarter for those who are new to the church. It will help you understand the mission and vision of Citizens Church.
This class will cover the purpose and biblical basis for meaningful membership. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions and review our beliefs and practices as well as the membership covenant.
This is an opportunity for our leaders to hear about your story of faith, review our covenant and answer any questions you might have related to the church and membership.
