  1. What characteristics of God do you read about in this chapter?

  2. What is the difference between “the eternal life” ascribed to Jesus in verse 2 and the eternal life promised to believers in John 3:16?

  3. What significance is found in the fact that Christ’s life was made manifest—seen and touched by John and others? (verses 1-2)

  4. Even though we sin, John states that we can still walk in the light? How? (verses 5-10)

  5. How does walking, or not walking, in the light affect our fellowship with one another?
