  1. Think about a time when you were waiting on the Lord. What practices made it easier, and what practices made it more difficult, to wait patiently and continue to trust God?

  2. God didn’t give Noah all the details of everything that would happen at once. Rather, he informed him step by step along the way, and Noah responded in faith. Similarly, God doesn’t give us all the details of what we’ll encounter in life. What truths do you think Noah knew about God’s character that helped him act in faith?

  3. Which of God’s character traits do you find it most difficult to trust? Why?

  4. Which of God’s character traits are the most comforting and helpful in enabling you to trust him in the ordinary daily tasks you encounter? How do those truths help you?

  5. What components are necessary to make a covenant? Have you ever made a covenant with someone?

  6. Look back over all the details of the account of the flood. Which aspects point ahead to how Jesus is a better version of Noah’s Ark?
