A Vision of Jesus - Revelation
Read the summary of the Sunday sermon: The Bible’s vision for all the world is that our eyes would be set on Jesus. Revelation 1 aims to focus the readers eyes on this vision. When God’s people have a clear vision of Jesus, he becomes their source of strength and encouragement to live out his mission in a world filled with hardship.

Discussion Questions:
Why is it significant that Revelation is called a “revelation” (unveiling) rather than a code to be cracked? How does clarity about Jesus fuel our mission?
How does John’s identity as a “partner in the tribulation… and patient endurance” shape our understanding of Christian witness?
What does Jesus’ presence among the lampstands teach us about the role of the church in the world?
How does the vision of the glorified Christ (vv. 12–16) strengthen boldness in witness?
What does Jesus’ authority over death and Hades mean for how we speak about hope to our world today?
How does worship relate to mission (see Revelation 1:6-7)?
In what ways does fear hinder our witness, and how does Jesus’ command to not be afraid lead us to into gospel boldness?
What would it look like for our church to function clearly as a “lampstand” in our community?
Prayer: In line with question #4, take some time to pray for boldness, like the believers in the early church (Acts 4:23-31) as we live on mission with Jesus.
